Jake is Irving’s second oldest son. He started taking a real interest in my families shellfish farm when he was 12. A few years later, Irving taught him to work Wellfleet’s wild oyster fishery. Throughout his life he has spent countless tides working for on the farm, in the process learning how to farm oysters and clams. He attended Emmanuel College in Boston and every summer, continued shellfishing both wild oysters and working on the farm. When he graduated college in 2010, he shifted his focus away from wild oyster picking to help grow the family farm. Now Jake and Irving work year round together to you bring you Wellfleet’s finest oyster and clams.
