Scalloped Oyster Casserole
Open 2 dozen oysters and save liquid. Toss 1 cup soft bread crumbs and 1 1/2 cup cracker crumbs with ¾ cup melted butter. Put 1/3 of this mixture In a buttered casserole. Top with a layer of oysters (about 1 dozen). Layer 1/3 more crumbs and another layer of oysters on top. Top with remaining crumbs. Pour ¼ cup milk and ½ cup oyster liquid over casserole. Bake at 400°F for 30-40 minutes.
